It combines the rock solid mechanical design of its predecessor the King Mesa with our latest control system and a turbo-charged water pump. While including the latest PLC hardware, where the control system really shines is performance. It provides powerful, yet precise moisture output through more monitoring and better gas and water trains. This means faster startups in cold conditions and virtually no overshooting. The bigger stainless steel water pump and heavy duty mist eliminator make the Hurricane rugged enough for 80+ BPH duty and yet a 22 bale per hour gin much preferred the Hurricane over their King Mesa due to superior turndown. Of course, we also added a bigger local screen to support more operator information at a glance without having to dig through menus. Additional standard features we think you’ll love are: clamp on water meters to avoid plugging or busting in winter and an automatic header flush valve to help keep nozzles clean.
